All management systems adopted by Socrate have been certified by the independent certification body ANCISSrl whose certifications, accredited by ACCREDIA, are internationally recognized on the basis of mutual recognition agreement.
Socrate has always considered quality as one of its priorities. For this reason, since the nineties, Socrate realized that the implementation of a Quality Management System based on an internationally recognized standard could be an important means of pursuing the path towards the continuous improvement of quality.
The referenced standard is UNI EN ISO 9001.
A quality management system is nothing more than the best "modus operandi" to try to ensure quality throughout the entire process from the definition of customer needs to their satisfaction through various business activities.
The quality management system of Socrate administers every business process that influences quality, such as:
- the design and development of the service / product,
- the management of customer orders,
- the selection, evaluation and control of suppliers,
- the control of the materials and of the finished products both in acceptance, during production and during shipping
- document management,
- the management of possible problems.
Through the careful management of these processes, this system pursues the key business objective: the full satisfaction of its customers.
Socrate, which have been at all times committed to ensure that their manufacturing processes have the least possible environmental impact, has also decided to adopt an environmental management system according to the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard, demonstrating the company’s conscious and responsible attitude to the environment. Through the Environmental Management System, particular attention is given to: noise pollution, atmospheric emissions and waste management in full compliance with the rules applicable to the business activities.
The UNI EN ISO 14001 standard is processed at a global level by the International Standards Organization (ISO), recognizedby the European Community (EN) and by the Italian Unification (UNI), which determines the guidelines for the respect of the environment..
HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK
Socrate has also implemented an Environmental Management System for the Health and Safety of Workers according to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
BS OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized assessment standard of management systems for health and safety in the workplace: promoting a safe and healthy work environment, providing an infrastructure that allows the organization to consistently identify and control the risks to health and safety, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.
Socrate calls for the active involvement of all their employees to promote the diffusion of an effective culture of safety in the workplace, being fully aware of the primary role that employees play in the success of an organization. This is fully in line with the philosophy of the company and the group to which it belongs, oriented at all times towards the individual with the utmost conviction and responsibility.
The UNI CEI EN ISO 50001:2011 standard defines the requirements to establish, implement, maintain and improve an Energy Management System. This system determines the company policies and objectives related to energy and identifies how to achieve the targets set. The purpose of the standard is to achieve a more efficient and more sustainable energy, regardless of its type, through the efforts in the implementation of the management system, the evaluation of the initial energy aspects and the management and control of these aspects.
The attainment of the UNI CEI EN ISO 50001:2009 certification is a further step towards the recognition of the company as a company more socially responsible with ethics devoted to environmental protection.
